Bike Details

I bought this bike late 1975 . It was in the hands of a Harley rider and he had just started in the “chopper” process . Bike was in bits , for some reason he dismantled the engine and had tried lapping the rod journals . Brought the bike home in various boxes and gave it to my father in law. It sat lifeless in a pile of temporary cardboard coffins until 2005 . At that time , my father in law now 84 decided to finally complete the bike . New rod bearings and pistons were purchased fro Burton’s , installed and the big ends were sized . The engine assembled was set aside . Needed a new fender as the Harley guy had “bobbed” the rear , again Burton’s provided the part . Painting and re-striping along with some detail work , the bike was finished 2006 . All original Lucas Electrics were employed (save for the battery) . The bike is a very good running machine. of course the classic Triumph lines are always a welcome sight as well .
